There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes of a live production. Recently I was a part of a hard working and unique group working to bring accessibility to everyone.
For 5 days was in the bowels of the Seattle Convention Center working with the ASL interpretation team. I have done ASL work before but not at this scale and not with this amazing team. We partnered with a company called Convo to get top tier interpreters to make Microsoft Build more accessible.
I was impressed and inspired by the dedication and hardworking nature of the interpreter team. Im always impressed by people who have brains that can in one way process information coming in and then on the other reinterpret that information going out. These interpreters did not disappoint. They blew through highly technical terms as if they invented the technology themselves. Every 15 mins we would swap them out to keep them fresh and every 15 mins a new impressive person was waiting eager to do their thing.
I’m honored and blessed to have worked with this team. I’d do it again without hesitation.
